About Our Afar Services

The Afar are a Cushitic people of the Horn of Africa, spread across Ethiopia, Eritrea and Djibouti, and their community in the UK is very small, forming part of the wider Horn of Africa population here rather than a distinct group with its own centres. Most of our Afar work follows from asylum and immigration claims: civil documents such as birth and marriage certificates for the Home Office and UKVI, papers for the immigration and asylum tribunals, and credential evaluation through UK ENIC where someone is continuing studies or work. Afar has around 2.6 million speakers across the three countries.
