The Afghan community in the UK is sizeable, with the 2021 census recording over 85,000 Afghan-born residents and around 116,000 people of Afghan ethnicity, concentrated heavily in west London (Ealing, Hounslow, Brent, Harrow and Hillingdon) and in Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton.
