Burushaski Language Services in the UK

About Our Burushaski Services

Burushaski is a language isolate, unrelated to any other known language, spoken by the Burusho people of the Hunza and Nagar valleys in northern Pakistan. Although the UK has a large Pakistani community, Burushaski speakers within it are very few and form no distinct group of their own. Work in Burushaski is therefore occasional and mostly follows from asylum and immigration claims: personal and civil documents for the Home Office and UKVI, the odd tribunal paper, and credential evaluation through UK ENIC. Burushaski has around 130,000 speakers, almost all in northern Pakistan.

Prism Linguistics provides Burushaski translation, interpreting and transcription across the UK in 300+ languages. Whether you need a certified document for the Home Office, a court interpreter, an NHS appointment or a business meeting, our vetted native-speaker linguists are ready to help.
