About Barnstaple
Barnstaple is the main town of North Devon, an old market and river port at the head of the Taw estuary. Most of the work that reaches us here comes through its court, hospital and college. About the Chamorro language
Chamorro is the indigenous Austronesian language of Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands in the western Pacific, both United States territories. Fewer than a fifth of Chamorros on Guam now speak it fluently, and most fluent speakers are elderly, so the language is in decline. There is no Chamorro-speaking community of any size in the UK, and requests are very rare.
