Face-to-face, phone or video in Harrow
For short, urgent conversations in Harrow (a GP receptionist call, a doorstep statement, an emergency department triage), telephone Chaochow interpreting is on demand and connects within minutes. For longer or more sensitive appointments (a contested hearing, a mental-health assessment, a customer meeting), face-to-face in Harrow is worth the extra time it takes to confirm. Video works well when the parties are in different places but eye contact still matters.
How long it takes to confirm in Harrow
Telephone Chaochow is on demand. Face-to-face appointments in Harrow can usually be confirmed within a few hours. Less common Chaochow dialects benefit from a day or two's notice; that's normally enough to get you the strongest interpreter rather than the only available one.
How to book or hire a Chaochow interpreter in Harrow
Send us the date, the venue and the type of appointment. We come back with the interpreter and a price (usually within the hour during UK office hours), and once you confirm, the linguist works the assignment. Pay-as-you-go, monthly invoicing, or to a PO if your accounts team need that.

Chaochow interpreting in Harrow: FAQs
How much does a Chaochow interpreter cost in Harrow?
Cost depends on the language, the type of appointment, how long it is and how much notice you can give. There isn't a single hourly figure that's honest across NHS, legal and private work in Harrow. Send the basics through the quote form and we'll come back with a price.
How do you pick the right interpreter for my Harrow appointment?
We match on three things: subject experience (an NHS booking goes to a Chaochow interpreter who has worked in NHS settings, not just any interpreter), Chaochow dialect, and availability for your time and place in Harrow. If you have a preferred linguist from a previous job, we'll try them first.
Can you cover urgent / same-day Chaochow requests in Harrow?
Telephone Chaochow is on demand. For face-to-face in Harrow, same-day is often possible for the more common languages; for less common dialects, give us a day's notice if you can and we'll get you the right person.

About Harrow
Harrow is a borough in north west London, one of the most culturally varied parts of the capital, where many languages are spoken across its neighbourhoods and shopping streets. That everyday diversity means local organisations deal with language differences as a normal part of their work. Solicitors and legal firms, GP surgeries and health centres, council and local authority services, schools and colleges, and local businesses all need to communicate clearly with residents and clients from a wide range of backgrounds. Prism Linguistics provides certified document translation, face-to-face interpreting, and telephone and video interpreting in more than 300 languages. Every assignment is handled by a qualified native-speaker linguist and then reviewed by a second linguist, so the finished work is accurate and reads naturally. We apply UK GDPR and confidentiality standards to all of it, protecting personal and case-sensitive information. Prism covers Harrow and the surrounding parts of north west London, with interpreters available to attend in person or to connect by phone and video when a booking needs to happen fast.

About the Chaochow language
Chaochow, better known as Teochew, is spoken in Britain within the wider Chinese community, particularly among families with roots in the Chaoshan region of eastern Guangdong and among Teochew who came by way of Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. It is a Southern Min variety, only partly intelligible with Hokkien and quite distinct from Mandarin or Cantonese. Because it is chiefly a spoken language, most written work is handled in standard Chinese, so our Teochew involvement is usually interpreting: helping at NHS appointments, in the courts, and with Home Office and settlement matters where a speaker is more comfortable in their home dialect. Teochew has roughly 14 million speakers in the Chaoshan region and over five million more overseas.
