Fang Language Services in the UK

About Our Fang Services

Fang is a Bantu language of west-central Africa, spoken by the Fang people across Equatorial Guinea, Gabon and southern Cameroon. It is the language of the largest ethnic group in both Equatorial Guinea and Gabon, though Spanish and French respectively serve as those countries' official languages. Estimates generally put speaker numbers at around a million. Fang is closely related to Bulu and Ewondo of Cameroon, with which it forms a chain of similar varieties sometimes grouped together as Beti. It is written in the Latin alphabet, and it carries a strong oral tradition, including the mvet epic songs performed with a stringed instrument of the same name. Radio broadcasting in Fang is common across the region.

Prism Linguistics provides Fang translation, interpreting and transcription across the UK in 300+ languages. Whether you need a certified document for the Home Office, a court interpreter, an NHS appointment or a business meeting, our vetted native-speaker linguists are ready to help.
