Galole Language Services in the UK

About Our Galole Services

Galole is a name associated with the Tana River area of eastern Kenya, where it refers both to a local variety of speech and to a well-known constituency in Tana River County. Documentation of Galole as a distinct language is thin, and published sources classify the speech of the area in different ways, so firm statements about its family relationships are hard to make. The wider Tana River region is linguistically mixed: Pokomo, a Bantu language, is spoken by farming communities along the river, while Orma, a Cushitic language related to Oromo, is spoken by pastoralist communities nearby. Speech forms grouped under the Galole name are used by smaller communities in this area, alongside Swahili, which serves as the lingua franca of coastal and eastern Kenya.

Prism Linguistics provides Galole translation, interpreting and transcription across the UK in 300+ languages. Whether you need a certified document for the Home Office, a court interpreter, an NHS appointment or a business meeting, our vetted native-speaker linguists are ready to help.
