Georgian translation services in Duns
Document translation is mostly handled by email: your file goes to a Georgian native translator, the translated version comes back to you in the format you need. So even though this page is about Duns, location matters less for translation than it does for interpreting: we deliver to clients in Duns the same way we deliver to clients anywhere else in the UK. The Duns-specific bit is the local context: if your document is for a Duns solicitor, a Duns hospital or a Duns university, we'll handle the formatting and the accompanying paperwork the way those bodies expect.
Certified Georgian translation
For most UK official use in Duns (UKVI applications, court proceedings, university admissions, registry office work, Home Office cases), certified Georgian translation is what's required. We provide that as standard: the translated document plus a signed declaration of accuracy on Prism Linguistics letterhead, with the translator's name and our company stamp. Sworn or apostilled formats are available if your receiving body asks for those instead; just tell us at quote stage.
What we translate
How to order a Georgian translation in Duns
Send us the document. We'll come back within an hour during UK office hours with a price and a delivery date. A Georgian native translator with the right subject background does the work; a second linguist reviews it; we deliver in the format you asked for. Standard turnaround for a short certificate is normally next working day; longer pieces are quoted with a realistic date.
English to Georgian translator (and the other way round) in Duns
We work in both directions. Customer-facing copy (websites, brochures, ads, emails) is adapted rather than translated word for word, so it reads like it was written in Georgian in the first place. Legal, medical and technical documents stay faithful to the source, with formatting matched to the original.
Need a spoken-language interpreter in Duns too?
If you also need a person in the room (or on the call) to handle spoken conversation, see our Georgian interpreter in Duns page. Same team, same booking flow.

Georgian translator FAQs for Duns
How much does Georgian translation cost in Duns?
It depends on the length of the document, the language pair and how quickly you need it back. Certified work on short certificates is priced per document rather than per word. Send the document through the quote form and we'll give you a fixed price, normally within the hour during UK office hours.
Do I need a certified Georgian translation?
For most UK official use (UKVI, courts, universities and registry offices) yes. We provide certified translation as standard: the translated document plus a signed declaration of accuracy on Prism Linguistics letterhead. If your receiving body asks for a sworn or apostilled format instead, tell us at quote stage.
How quickly can you translate a Georgian document in Duns?
A short document is normally back the next working day. Larger projects get a realistic delivery date that builds in the second-linguist review. Same-day is sometimes possible for shorter items; tell us the deadline and we'll be straight with you about whether we can hit it.
Can I find a Georgian translator near me in Duns?
Yes. Delivery is by email wherever you are in Duns, and hard copies go out by Royal Mail Special Delivery if you need one. If you also need someone in the room, we arrange Georgian interpreters across Duns too.
About Duns
Duns is a small market town in the Scottish Borders, set in rolling farmland in the old county of Berwickshire. It is a rural place without a court or general hospital of its own; Berwickshire Sheriff Court closed in 2015, and local cases are now heard at the Borders sheriff court in Jedburgh, with Scotland's most serious matters going before the High Court of Justiciary. Hospital care is based at Borders General Hospital near Melrose. Everyday council, health and legal services are what bring translation and interpreting work our way. This is farming country, and agriculture in the Borders has drawn workers from Poland and elsewhere in central Europe, so those languages come up most often. The town keeps a memorial to the Polish troops stationed here during the Second World War, a reminder that the connection is not new. When a rarer language is needed for a hearing or a medical appointment, that is the kind of request other agencies find hardest to fill, and the kind we cover.

About the Georgian language
The Georgian community in the UK has grown quickly, with around 46,000 Georgia-born residents recorded in England and Wales at the 2021 census and a clear majority living in London. Our Georgian translation work reflects that: civil documents such as birth, marriage and death certificates for Home Office and UKVI immigration, settlement and citizenship applications, papers for the immigration and asylum tribunals, and academic transcripts evaluated by UK ENIC for universities and professional registration. We also arrange Georgian interpreters for the NHS, solicitors and the courts where the setting fits. Georgian has roughly 3.8 million speakers, almost all of them in Georgia itself.
