Hiligaynonor Ilonggo Language Services in the UK

About Our Hiligaynonor Ilonggo Services

Ilonggo is the everyday name for Hiligaynon, an Austronesian language of the Bisayan group from the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Its heartland covers Iloilo province on Panay and Negros Occidental, with the cities of Iloilo and Bacolod as its main urban centres, and migration has carried it to the Soccsksargen region of Mindanao. Around 9 million people are estimated to speak it as a first or second language, which places it among the largest Philippine languages after Tagalog and Cebuano. It is written in the Latin alphabet and heard daily on regional radio and television. Speakers often describe its intonation as gentle, and the language shares much vocabulary with neighbouring varieties such as Capiznon and Kinaray-a.

Prism Linguistics provides Hiligaynonor Ilonggo translation, interpreting and transcription across the UK in 300+ languages. Whether you need a certified document for the Home Office, a court interpreter, an NHS appointment or a business meeting, our vetted native-speaker linguists are ready to help.
