Krygyz Language Services in the UK

About Our Krygyz Services

Kyrgyz serves as the state language of the Central Asian republic of Kyrgyzstan, where it holds that position alongside Russian, which is an official language. It is a Turkic language of the Kipchak branch, closely related to Kazakh, and speakers of the two can often follow one another with a little effort. Modern Kyrgyz uses a Cyrillic alphabet of 36 letters; before the Soviet period Arabic script was the norm, and Kyrgyz communities in China still write the language that way. Estimates put overall speaker numbers at around 5 million. Since independence in 1991 the government has promoted Kyrgyz in schools, universities and public administration, though Russian remains widely used in cities such as Bishkek and Osh.

Prism Linguistics provides Krygyz translation, interpreting and transcription across the UK in 300+ languages. Whether you need a certified document for the Home Office, a court interpreter, an NHS appointment or a business meeting, our vetted native-speaker linguists are ready to help.
