Manx translation services in Wrexham
Document translation is mostly handled by email: your file goes to a Manx native translator, the translated version comes back to you in the format you need. So even though this page is about Wrexham, location matters less for translation than it does for interpreting: we deliver to clients in Wrexham the same way we deliver to clients anywhere else in the UK. The Wrexham-specific bit is the local context: if your document is for a Wrexham solicitor, a Wrexham hospital or a Wrexham university, we'll handle the formatting and the accompanying paperwork the way those bodies expect.
Certified Manx translation
For most UK official use in Wrexham (UKVI applications, court proceedings, university admissions, registry office work, Home Office cases), certified Manx translation is what's required. We provide that as standard: the translated document plus a signed declaration of accuracy on Prism Linguistics letterhead, with the translator's name and our company stamp. The UK has no sworn translators, so certification is what UK offices accept. If an office abroad also wants an apostille or a notarised copy, that step is yours or your solicitor's; we can translate documents that already carry one.
What we translate
How to order a Manx translation in Wrexham
Send us the document. We'll come back within an hour during UK office hours with a price and a delivery date. A Manx native translator with the right subject background does the work; a second linguist reviews it; we deliver in the format you asked for. Standard turnaround for a short certificate is normally next working day; longer pieces are quoted with a realistic date.
English to Manx translator (and the other way round) in Wrexham
We work in both directions. Customer-facing copy (websites, brochures, ads, emails) is adapted rather than translated word for word, so it reads like it was written in Manx in the first place. Legal, medical and technical documents stay faithful to the source, with formatting matched to the original.
Need a spoken-language interpreter in Wrexham too?

How much does Manx translation cost in Wrexham?
It depends on the length of the document, the language pair and how quickly you need it back. Certified work on short certificates is priced per document rather than per word. Send the document through the quote form and we'll give you a fixed price, normally within the hour during UK office hours.
Do I need a certified Manx translation?
For most UK official use (UKVI, courts, universities and registry offices) yes. We provide certified translation as standard: the translated document plus a signed declaration of accuracy on Prism Linguistics letterhead. About Wrexham
Wrexham sits in the north-east of Wales, a city and county borough close to the English border, and much of our work here comes through its hospital, university and courts. Wrexham Maelor Hospital is the region's main acute hospital, part of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, and Wrexham University on Mold Road brings in students and staff from beyond the UK. The town has its own law courts for local hearings, while the more serious criminal cases are heard at the Crown Court in Mold. Each creates steady demand for interpreters and certified translations. The languages we are asked for follow who actually lives here. Wrexham has a large Portuguese community, centred on Hightown, and an established Polish community with shops and restaurants in the city centre, so Portuguese and Polish come up regularly. As part of Wales, Welsh is spoken too, by around one in eight people across the county borough. We are also called on for the rarer languages a hearing or appointment can hinge on, and those are usually the requests other agencies struggle to fill.

About the Manx language
Manx is a Goidelic Celtic language native to the Isle of Man, close kin to Irish and Scottish Gaelic. Its last native speaker, Ned Maddrell, died in 1974, but a determined revival has brought it back: the 2021 census recorded 2,223 people with some Manx, there is a Manx-medium primary school, and the language is taught in island schools and recognised under the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages. Our Manx work is a matter of heritage rather than immigration, things like personal and family records, cultural and educational material, and official or ceremonial text where an accurate English rendering is wanted. Manx is spoken today by a couple of thousand people, all as a revived second language.
