About Duns
Duns is a small market town in the Scottish Borders, set in rolling farmland in the old county of Berwickshire. It is a rural place without a court or general hospital of its own; Berwickshire Sheriff Court closed in 2015, and local cases are now heard at the Borders sheriff court in Jedburgh, with Scotland's most serious matters going before the High Court of Justiciary.
