What our Guarani translators and interpreters cover for Cambridge clients

Most Cambridge bookings split between two needs: a document that has to be in another language for a UK body to accept it, or a conversation that has to happen with someone whose strongest language isn't English. The detail differs from job to job, but the principle is the same: the work has to be accurate enough that nobody on the receiving end has to guess what was meant.

  • Legal: contracts, court papers, witness statements, instructed work for solicitors in Cambridge.
  • Healthcare: patient letters, clinical notes, consent forms for Cambridge hospitals and clinics.
  • Police and criminal: interviews, statements and disclosure material for Cambridge police, probation and CPS work.
  • Business: supplier contracts, board papers, customer-facing copy.
  • Public sector, social care, education, housing and registry work.

Certified Guarani document translation in Cambridge

For UK official use (UKVI applications, court bundles, university admissions, registry office work), we provide certified Guarani translation as standard: the translation plus a signed declaration of accuracy on Prism Linguistics letterhead, with the translator's name and our company stamp. Sworn or apostilled formats are available where a specific recipient requires them; tell us at quote stage.

Face-to-face, telephone and video interpreting in Cambridge

For appointments in Cambridge (a hospital outpatient, a solicitor conference, a contested hearing, a customer meeting), we send a Guarani interpreter in person where it matters. For short or urgent conversations, telephone Guarani interpreting connects in minutes. Video sits between the two: useful when parties are in different places but eye contact still matters.

See the face-to-face interpreting page for how we run an in-person booking, or the Guarani interpreter in Cambridge page for what we cover locally.

Court work and HMCTS

We supply Guarani interpreters with court experience for HMCTS hearings, tribunals and legal consultations in Cambridge. We match each court booking to a linguist whose credentials and vetting fit the setting; happy to send a CV before an appointment if it helps with your prep.

About the Guarani language

Guarani is an indigenous South American language of the Tupi-Guarani family and one of the two official languages of Paraguay, alongside Spanish. Unusually for an indigenous language of the Americas, it is spoken by the majority of Paraguay's population, most of whom are not themselves indigenous; estimates commonly run to five or six million speakers. Many Paraguayans switch between Guarani and Spanish or speak Jopara, an everyday mix of the two. The language is also spoken by communities in parts of Argentina, Bolivia and Brazil, and it holds official status in Argentina's Corrientes province and in Bolivia. Guarani is written in the Latin alphabet and is used in schools, media and public life across Paraguay.

About Cambridge

Cambridge is a city known worldwide for its academic and technology sectors, drawing students, researchers and businesses from every corner of the globe. That international character means language services are needed here all the time. Solicitors and legal firms require documents translated and interpreters for client meetings, GP surgeries, health centres and clinics arrange interpreting for appointments, and council services, schools and colleges support people whose first language isn't English. Local businesses, especially those working across borders, rely on us for translation that reads correctly. Prism Linguistics offers certified document translation, face-to-face interpreting, and telephone and video interpreting in more than 300 languages, matched to each situation. Every piece of work is produced by a qualified native-speaker linguist and then reviewed by a second linguist before it is returned, and it is all carried out under UK GDPR and confidentiality standards. We work with clients across Cambridge and the surrounding area.

Why Prism Linguistics

Why Choose Us

Translations that actually get accepted

Most of our work is for UK bodies that have to accept the translation as part of a process: courts, the Home Office, the NHS, universities, councils. We format and certify so the receiving body doesn't send it back.

Native Guarani linguists, second-linguist review

Translators only translate into their first language. Every job is reviewed by a second Guarani linguist before delivery: names, dates and formatting checked against the original.

Responsive in UK working hours

Quotes back within an hour in UK office hours. For on-demand telephone interpreting we cover out-of-hours too; call the main number and you'll get connected.
