Tshiluba Language Services in the UK

About Our Tshiluba Services

Tshiluba, also called Luba-Kasai, is a Bantu language of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and one of the country's four national languages, alongside Lingala, Swahili and Kikongo. Its home is the Kasai region in the south-centre of the country, and estimates put its speakers at more than six million. French remains the DRC's official language, so Tshiluba operates as a regional lingua franca: the language of markets, churches, local radio and early schooling across Kasai. It is a tonal language, written in the Latin alphabet since missionary orthographies of the colonial era, and it follows the Bantu pattern of noun classes marked with prefixes. Tshiluba should be distinguished from Kiluba, or Luba-Katanga, a related but separate language spoken further to the east.

Prism Linguistics provides Tshiluba translation, interpreting and transcription across the UK in 300+ languages. Whether you need a certified document for the Home Office, a court interpreter, an NHS appointment or a business meeting, our vetted native-speaker linguists are ready to help.
